Hello friends and family! This site is still a work in progress. Please check back for more information after you've received your formal invitation!
The wedding will be held almost entirely at the Jehan Numa Palace Hotel: a five-star, 19th-century heritage hotel set on the slopes of Shamla Hill in Bhopal. All ceremonies, meals, and receptions will take place on-site, so once you've checked in, you won't need to arrange travel anywhere else for the wedding.
The hotel has everything you'll need over the course of the wedding:
The rooms are all air-conditioned, and come equipped with a TV, free Wi-Fi, and ensuite bathroom with a deep soaking tub. Most rooms open onto a balcony, courtyard, or garden view. Courtesy of Shruti's parents, each will be stocked with a French press, so if you're a coffee lover, bring your favorite grounds!
Outside of the official wedding events, dining options are plentiful with four restaurants and two bars, including Under the Mango Tree (royal Bhopali cuisine served in the central courtyard) and La Kuchina (Italian, with an open kitchen). The Tattenham Corner Lounge Bar is a comfortable spot to gather between events.
A 25-meter outdoor pool surrounded by palms, a fitness center, and the Chakra Spa for massages, facials, and body treatments. We highly recommend booking spa time before or after the main two days - your feet will thank you after the Sangeet.

The palace was built in 1890 by General Obaidullah Khan, Commander-in-Chief of the Bhopal State Forces, and named in honor of his mother, Nawab Sultan Jehan Begum - one of the four Begums who ruled Bhopal between 1819 and 1926. The name Jehan Numa roughly translates to "a view of the world."
The building itself is an unusual blend of British Colonial, Italian Renaissance, and Classical Greek architecture, all painted in crisp white and set against gardens of bougainvillea, champa, and flowering palms. It was converted into a heritage hotel in 1983 by General Khan's grandsons, and in 2000 was designated the first Heritage Grand Hotel in Central India.
We chose it because it captures something rare: a working piece of Bhopal's history that also happens to be the kind of place where you can swim laps, get a massage, and eat exceptionally well between events.
